Dr. Jane Goodall, a UN Messenger of Peace, discusses climate change and its implications. Dr. Jane Goodall, a native of England, spent many years studying the chimps of Gombe in Tanzania. Dr. Goodallis a UN Messenger of Peace. Dr. Goodall, in 1977, founded the Jane Goodall Institute for Research, Education and Conservation, which launched establishing chimpanzee sanctuaries in four African countries.

In 1991 a vicious civil war overtook Sierra Leone. My guest, Ishmael Beah, at the age of 13, was forced to become a child soldier in this conflict. Later, Mr. Beah came to the US and attended the United Nations International School.

Carol Bellamy, Past Director of the US Peace Corps and UNICEF, highlights issues confronting those agencies.
